Weed Control

The first issue to reconcile is what you consider in your garden to be a weed. Some people want nothing but grass and see any other plant as a weed.

For example, some people like to see a bit of clover in their lawn. White clover used to be added to seed mix to make the grass more attractive and had the added benefit of converting the soil's most needy nutrient, nitrogen, form the air into the soil.

Daisies again add a beautiful dimension to a British lawn yet are removed by the use of non-selective weed killers.

Therefore, it is important to take a view on what you remove and how you prevent it from re occurring by adopting a selective approach.

Bio program
For lawns that have a severe weed problem Lawns Alive may recommend their Bio program that does include the selective application of a herbicide directly to troublesome weeds .This is done with the agreement of the customer and is a step towards the full organic program.
