Scarification

Scarifying removes any dead and undecayed matter from the grass known as thatch. It is also particularly good for removing moss.

The removal of this layer of thatch will allow much better penetration of fertilisers, air and water
to the soil.

At Lawns Alive, we will only consider scarifying if we consider it necessary. If it is applied to a lawn, which does not need it, it will have no positive effect.

After your lawn has been scarified, your lawn will cosmetically look a bit beaten up but it will soon recover and become a much healthier lawn.
